Our guide will meet you at your hotel to embark on a tour exploring the French culture in Hanoi. We'll start by visiting St. Joseph's Cathedral, the oldest church in Hanoi with an architectural style reminiscent of Notre Dame de Paris. Its elegant façade and towering spires reflect the influence of French colonial architecture on the city.
Next, we'll ride in a cyclo to the Hanoi Opera House, a magnificent building modeled after the Palais Garnier in Paris. This iconic landmark is not only a testament to French architectural grandeur but also a cultural hub for various artistic performances.
As we make our way through the vibrant streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter, you'll experience the charm and bustling energy of this historic neighborhood. Known for its narrow lanes, traditional tube houses, and lively markets, the Old Quarter is a captivating blend of Vietnamese and French influences.
We'll also make a stop at the historic Long Bien Bridge, an architectural gem that spans the Red River. Built by the French in the early 20th century, this steel cantilever bridge showcases the enduring beauty of French colonial engineering in Vietnam.
To immerse yourself in the local culture, we'll take a break at a charming streetside café nestled among the historic buildings. Take in the sights and sounds of the bustling streets while engaging in cultural exchanges with the friendly locals.
Day 3: Photography & Culture tour of Traditional Villages near Hanoi
If you're interested in traditional Vietnamese culture and have a keen eye for photography, this trip is perfect for you.
You’ll visit Thu Sy, a commune in Tien Lu District, Hung Yen Province, where around 500 craftsmen continue the centuries-old tradition of making bamboo fish traps. You’ll also explore Ban Yen Nhan, a village featured in National Geographic. Known for its unique method of making soy sauce, Ban Yen Nhan’s recipe has been passed down through generations. The use of rainwater or water from a specific borewell is part of the "secret" behind their famous sauce, known as tuong Ban (Ban soy sauce) or tuong lang Ban (Ban Village soy sauce).
In the evening you will be transferred to the station for your overnight train to Sapa.
Day 4: Sapa arrival, half day Love waterfall tour
Upon your early arrival at Lao Cai station (5:55 am), our guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy an early check-in with breakfast, allowing you to unwind before your afternoon tour.In the afternoon, our guide will meet you at your hotel and escort you to a local restaurant for lunch.Following this, embark on a half-day guided tour to Sapa's Love Waterfall. A 40-minute drive brings you to Tram Ton Pass, the highest pass in Vietnam at 2047 meters above sea level. Revel in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests of the Hoang Lien National Park.Take a 30-minute walk to appreciate the stunning scenery on both sides of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, where the wind plays with the clouds, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Continue your adventure with a 30-minute trek through the forest, surrounded by vibrant wildflowers. Following the stream, you'll reach the magnificent Love Waterfall—a true natural marvel. Standing at 100 meters tall, the waterfall sparkles in the sun, with water cascading into a golden stream, set against a backdrop of lush greenery and thick bamboo. It's an enchanting sight that captures the beauty of Sapa's landscapes.
Day 5: Sapa off the beaten track
Begin your morning adventure by descending into the enchanting Sa Pa valley, a scenic drive that takes approximately 2 hours. Along the way, be prepared to be mesmerized by the breathtaking vistas of the expansive paddy terrace fields and vibrant cornfields, showcasing the largest terrace paddy in Sa Pa. Pass through Ban Ho village before ascending to My Son Village and Nam Cang Village, nestled at the far end of the valley and home to various ethnic minority groups like Xa Pho, Red Zao, and White H'mong. Pause at Nam Than Village before continuing your journey with a hike to Nam Nhiu village, where the Red Dao people reside. Experience the awe-inspiring panoramic views of the towering mountains and immerse yourself in the warmth of the local village atmosphere. Cross a suspension bridge and be greeted by the refreshing sight and sound of small waterfalls along the trek. Prepare to be captivated by the stunning landscape of the lowest valley, adorned with scattered "Buffalo houses on stilts" nestled among the paddy terraces. As you trek, be serenaded by the melodious songs of the forest, the delightful chorus of birdsong filling the air. After approximately 2 hours of trekking, enjoy a hearty lunch in a traditional minority people's house on stilts in Thanh Phu Village. Conclude your day by returning to Sapa, where you can witness the mesmerizing sunset over the picturesque mountains.
Day 6: Sapa - back to Hanoi
Enjoy a leisurely morning, where you have the option to unwind and relax . If you prefer join a half-day tour to discover the majestic Mt. Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment at your hotel. In the afternoon ,you will be transferred back to your hotel in Hanoi, concluding your memorable journey.
Day 7: Hanoi fly to Hue, half day Royal Tombs tour
Today fly to Hue.
In the afternoon begin your tour by exploring the ancient walled Citadel, a magnificent structure inspired by the Forbidden City in Beijing. Marvel at its grandeur and intricate architecture that reflects a fusion of Vietnamese and Chinese influences. Next, visit Khai Dinh tomb, a unique masterpiece that showcases an intriguing blend of traditional Chinese elements and modern Western aesthetics. As the most eccentric king of the Nguyen Dynasty, Khai Dinh embraced French colonialism and indulged in imported luxuries, leading to both admiration and criticism from nationalist leaders. Day 8: Hue - Artisan villages tour
Begin your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Hue and embark on a boat trip along the Perfume River.
The first stop is Thanh Tien Village, renowned for its paper flower craftsmanship. Meet a local villager and learn the art of creating intricate paper flowers, supporting the community through Backstreet Academy.
Continue to Sinh Village in Lai An village, Phu Mau commune, famous for Vietnamese folk paintings. Explore the traditional woodblock painting process, where black ink is applied to a woodblock and pressed onto paper, creating stunning artworks. Return to Hue center for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Thuy Xuan Incense making village, the largest incense-making village in Vietnam with a history of 700 years. Learn about the traditional methods of combining aromatic ingredients such as cinnamon, cardamom, and clove to create incense "dough." Experience the process of coating the dough around bamboo sticks and witness the vibrant colors of the bamboo sticks used in the production. Capture memorable photographs in this unique setting.
Conclude your tour with a visit to Vong Canh hill, offering breathtaking views, and explore the captivating tombs of Tu Duc. Day 10: Hue drive to Hoi An, evening Ter Dah Show
Today, embark on a scenic drive from Hue to Hoi An, taking the breathtaking route through the Hai Van Pass. Marvel at the panoramic views of the coastline and lush mountains as you traverse this iconic pass. Along the way, you'll encounter picturesque landscapes that make for perfect photo opportunities.
Upon reaching Hoi An, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax and unwind. Hoi An is renowned for its charming atmosphere and beautiful architecture, providing a tranquil setting for your stay.In the evening, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Hoi An by attending the Ter Dah show. This captivating performance showcases the vibrant traditions and heritage of the Vietnamese highlanders. Be mesmerized by the bamboo cirque, daring acrobatics, and hypnotizing melodies from exotic tribal instruments. The show brings to life wild animal hunts, moonlit romance, and intriguing tales of the jungle.

Day 11: Hoi An - Traditional Fishing Village and Bamboo Basket Tour
During this tour, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of enriching experiences that offer a glimpse into the local Vietnamese way of life. You'll start by learning traditional fishing techniques, gaining insight into the methods used by local fishermen to catch their daily bounty. This hands-on experience will allow you to appreciate the skill and knowledge required for this age-old practice.
Next, you'll embark on a unique adventure as you paddle the Vietnamese bamboo basket boats. These traditional boats are both strange and fascinating, and you'll have the chance to navigate the waterways using this distinctive mode of transportation.
As you explore the CỬA ĐẠI fishing village, you'll also have the opportunity to learn about BẢ TRẠO, the cultural folk music of the local fishermen. This musical tradition provides a window into the vibrant and lively rhythms that accompany the fishermen's daily lives.

Day 12: Free day at leisure
Today, you have the freedom to explore Hoi An at your own pace. Visit the Old Town, known for its preserved architecture and charming atmosphere. Join a cooking class to learn Vietnamese cuisine or browse the boutique shops for unique souvenirs and clothing. Enjoy the day immersing yourself in the beauty and culture of Hoi An.
Day 13: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City
Today fly to Ho Chi Minh City.
Start the tour with a visit to the Reunification Palace, once a symbol of the South Vietnamese Government. It was here on 30 April 1975, that the war ended when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates. See the war room, the banquet hall and the presidential office with the unusual gifts which have been received. Then,continue to the Central Post Office, designed and constructed by the renowned architect Gustave Eiffel, and take a moment to send a postcard! Just behind the post office is the Notre Dame Cathedral, an iconic Saigon landmark built in neo-Romanesque style by the French between 1863 and 1880. Today it’s a favoured backdrop for Vietnamese wedding photographs. Next, stroll down Dong Khoi Street, which figured prominently in Graham Greene’s famous Vietnam novel, The Quiet American, as Rue Catinat. The walk ends at the Saigon Opera House. From a bomb shelter to housing the parliamentary Lower House, the Opera House has had an interesting history.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre
Escape the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh and venture to the serene town of Ben Tre, known as the coconut kingdom. Upon arrival, check into a charming homestay surrounded by swaying coconut palm trees along the Mekong River. Enjoy the refreshing taste of a fresh coconut before settling into your comfortable room. In the afternoon, embark on a picturesque sunset cruise along the river, immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. As the day comes to a close, return to the homestay and indulge in a cooking class where you'll learn to prepare the famous southern Vietnamese delicacy, "Bánh xèo." Feast on a delectable dinner featuring a variety of local dishes that showcase the unique flavors of the Mekong region. To further unwind, pamper yourself with a soothing lemongrass and ginger foot bath, ensuring a relaxing evening before retiring to bed.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre - cycling and visit local market
After a delicious breakfast, embark on a cycling adventure to the scenic island of Oc. Follow a concrete track adorned with fruit and coconut trees, immersing yourself in the lush surroundings. Along the way, make a stop at a local market, providing you with a glimpse into the vibrant local life. Continue your journey and visit a coconut basket factory, where you can join the owner to learn about the various braiding techniques used (subject to availability). Board a local ferry to reach a charming small island and continue cycling along peaceful paths, surrounded by verdant landscapes. Pause at a fish farm to learn about two of Vietnam's beloved catfish species, Ca Tra and Ca Ba Sa. Conclude the tour with a scenic boat ride back to your homestay, where you can relax before being transferred back to Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 16: Departing Ho Chi Minh City
Today our guide will accompany you to the airport. It's time to say goodbye and we hope that Vietnam will leave you with unforgettable memories.
